TAB Bank to Provide Title Sponsorship at Annual Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament
(firmenpresse) - OGDEN, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 08/29/12 -- is pleased to announce that it is once more the title sponsor at the annual Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament this year will be held at the golf course in Eden, UT on Friday, September 7, 2012.
TAB Bank has been a sponsor of the Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament every year it has been held. The first tournament was held in 2001, where with TAB's help, $8,500 was raised. To date, the golf tournament has raised $197,325 for the Ogden Rescue Mission or an average of $17,938 per year. The last seven years have been the most successful in terms of dollars earned with a total of $160,300 being raised or an average of $22,900 per year.
"There is a lot I could say about TAB Bank's support. First, the bank, with a generous annual grant of $10,000, is far and away our largest dollar sponsor for the tournament and a major reason for the tournament's success. In addition, since TAB's involvement in 2005 as the title sponsor, the tournament has gained greater credibility and as a result we have seen a significant increase in tournament revenue beyond TAB's grant. And finally, TAB has been a generous partner in providing goodie bag items for the tournament participants with items such as golf balls, golf towels, hats, and water bottles. All in all, TAB Bank has been a very generous and helpful partner in making the Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament one of the premier charity golf events in northern Utah and one of the most successful," stated George Squires, Director of the tournament.
The golf tournament is a major fundraiser for the Ogden Rescue Mission and provides necessary funds for this community-based organization to achieve its objectives. Each year more than 100,000 meals are prepared and served to poor and needy men, women, and children who come to the Ogden Rescue Mission's doors for help. Once inside, they realize that the Mission is so much more than a soup kitchen or a shelter. Here they can also find peace and hope. Additional services include a free medical and dental clinic, a thrift store, rehabilitation services, and so much more.
