Retailers Mutual Elects Officers and Board Members
(firmenpresse) - LANSING, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 09/06/12 -- , owner-partner in several retail property companies and a member of the board of the Principal Shopping District, has been elected chair of the Retailers Mutual Insurance Company for 2012-13. Retailers Mutual was established by Michigan Retailers Association in 2006.
A board member since 1984, he is among new officers and board members elected at the organization's Annual Meeting and board meeting on August 21.
Elected vice chair for 2012-13 was , vice president and co-owner of Mieras Family Shoes, . He has served on the Retailers Mutual board since 2010.
Elected to the board for the first time was , executive vice president of Hylant Group and president of its office. Hylant is among the largest privately held insurance brokerage firms in the United States and maintains strong international brokerage relationships. He will serve a three-year term on the board.
Re-elected to the Retailers Mutual board for three-year terms were:
, president and CEO of both Retailers Mutual and the Michigan Retailers Association; and
, executive vice president and chief operating officer for both Retailers Mutual and Michigan Retailers Association.
Retailers Mutual Insurance Company is a Michigan company providing workers' compensation insurance to all types of Michigan businesses. It was established by Michigan Retailers Association in 2006 through the conversion of the self-insured Retailers Fund to a mutual company, in order to provide quality coverage and premium savings to businesses beyond and in the retail industry.
