bmp acquires stake in castaclip GmbH

The Potsdam-based video content network castaclip has successfully
completed a financing round in which bmp media investors AG (ISIN
DE0003304200) participated together with the existing shareholders. bmp
took the lead in this round and now has a 16.5% stake in the company.
castaclip operates a marketplace for short-form online video content
(VCeX), in which marketers, owners of rights and website operators can sell
and market premium videos. The company has developed its own platform that
allows market participants to show, market and charge for video content
automatically according to 'contextual relevance' via thousands of
websites. castaclip already has content partnerships with reputable
companies such as dpa-AFX, Red Bull Media House and NBCu.
On the occasion of the financing round, founder and managing director Ekow
Yankah said: 'We are delighted about the participation of this experienced
and well connected group of investors and grateful for their confidence in
our company. We will use the funds to expand further our position as a
leader in technology and scale our business model in further markets.'
