A cooperation agreement on the development of a hybrid media solution Set Top
Box has been signed between 27m and Systemagic.
'By combining our competencies, we can offer a complete solution to the
customer, including hardware, software and user interface,' says Anders Wisell,
CEO of 27m.
'An added benefit will be the early involvement of the software developers in
the design process. This will ensure that the hardware is optimised for the
intended software, improving the performance of the end product,' says
Bo-Magnus Petersson, CEO of Systemagic.
27m is a design house for digital media devices, offering a scaleable receiver
platform that can be modified to meet different functionality requirements. The
mature and proven receiver design features PVR, media player and browser
functionality. It is available for DVB or IPTV as well as hybrid applications,
supporting multi-screen technology and multiple devices.
Systemagic is a company with combined offer of software products and
professional services. Systemagic's core expertise lies in next generation of
IP platform solutions for multiple home consumer devices. Services are based on
browser technology for multi-screen on settop-boxes, SmartTV and mobiledevices.
Systemagic has ten years of proven track record on developing and designing OTT
services, GUI, VOD, middleware and portals. Buzz words are social networking,
music, sports, betting and games.
A functional demo featuring Systemagic software running on the 27m platform
will be on display at IBC in Amsterdam 6-11 September, stand C.30 in Hall 3.
