(firmenpresse) - SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 09/13/12 -- Ticket Liquidator proudly announces the , a new customer service initiative that provides customers who are unable to attend an event for any reason an opportunity to return unwanted tickets for a discount on a future order from .

Ticket Liquidator, like most ticketing retail websites, has a strict all sales are final policy, due to the nature of the ticketing industry. Customers receive refunds if the event is cancelled or never played, or if the tickets do not allow access to the venue or are not delivered in time for the event. If an unforeseen situation arises and a customer can no longer attend an event, however, he or she can be left with tickets that cannot be used.

"We know that sometimes things happen that prevent a customer from being able to attend an event he or she purchased tickets for," said Maxine Davis, Quality Assurance Manager. "As part of our continued efforts to better serve our customers, this new program offers them another layer of protection so they are able to get something back for their unwanted tickets -- something that is unique in the ticketing industry."

While all sales are final on Ticket Liquidator, the Safety Net Program has already provided customers with the ability to recoup some kind of return for their unwanted tickets. Almost two-thirds of eligible customers who have been offered entry into the program have accepted, and many have had positive reactions so far.

"Thank you for hearing my concern and offering to help me," said Teresa Ravenone, one of the early entrants into the Safety Net Program. "I am a firm believer in 'what goes around comes around.' I hope that someday, when you or someone you love encounters a difficult situation, there is someone there to help you as you are doing for me."

A customer's first step after finding out that they will not be able to attend an event is to fill out the , which allows the Ticket Liquidator Customer Service team to determine if the program is right for him or her. While some situations won't be right for the Safety Net Program, there are often other avenues of assistance that the team can provide.

If eligible, the customer will receive an email offering a discount towards a future purchase through Ticket Liquidator in return for the unwanted tickets. The discount amount offered is based on the current market value of the tickets, will not include order-related fees and is nonnegotiable. If the customer accepts the offer, he or she will be provided with a prepaid shipping label to ship the tickets to Ticket Liquidator, and then sent a discount code for the quoted amount.

Answers to questions about the program can be found in the , and interested customers can also email A request to participate in the Safety Net Program does not guarantee a discount offer or acceptance into the program. A Ticket Liquidator representative will respond to emails as soon as possible to help with the order.

"While the strength of our customer service team already helps to differentiate us from many other ticket resale sites, we continue to innovate and offer new resources to protect our customers," said Davis. "Initiatives like this really show that Ticket Liquidator cares and our job isn't over once you purchase a ticket from us."
