(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/13/12 -- The public is invited to attend a educational workshop on Wildfire Preparedness and Protection September 19, 2012 at the Pala Resort and Casino, 11154 California 76 Pala, CA 92059, San Diego.
The workshop is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mr. North will explain that Southern California has had some of the largest and most devastating fires in the state of California. Warming temperatures and greater annual variation in precipitation may make fire control even more difficult. In his presentation, he will examine possible future weather and fuel condition scenarios and how they may affect fire behavior and size in areas of the urban/rural interface.
The program is presented by the California Fire Safe Council and Farmers Insurance. All Fire Safe Council members, homeowners, business owners, renters and media are invited.
