Exclusive cooperation with Circus FlicFlac
Berlin - September 18th, 2012: DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG (ISIN
DE000A0Z23G6), has entered, through its subsidiary Grandezza Entertainment,
into an important cooperation in the field of Family Entertainment.
Grandezza Entertainment has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with
Circus FlicFlac, according to which Grandezza Entertainment and FlicFlac
founder Benno Kastein will jointly produce and stage the new FlicFlac Show
'Vorsicht, Hochspannung! (Caution - High Voltage!)'. The show will go on
tour from February 2013 onwards in Europe's largest travelling circus tent.
DEAG expects the cooperation with FlicFlac to result in incremental
profitable sales revenues in a lower double-digit million euro amount in
2013.
Since its foundation in 1989, FlicFlac has developed into a trademark for
modern, spectacular circus, which can do completely without animal
training. Rock-based music, no plush and sequins, sophisticated technical
equipment and always extraordinary, sensational performances appeal to a
young audience, keen on new experiences. This concept has by now enthralled
more than 8 million paying visitors. In 2010 Benno Kastein decided to take
a break for personal reasons and discontinued Circus FlicFlac on a
temporary basis. Together with Grandezza Entertainment and an innovative
concept he now gets started again.
'The new show outclasses everything staged so far. The giant tent
construction measures 110 times 60 meters, the stage has the shape of an
intersection. Everything happens simultaneously and in crisscross manner.
Spectacular!', promises Benno Kastein. Freestyle bikers fly through the
circus tent, with nine drivers in the Globe of Death, FlicFlac wants to
equal its own world record. And for the first time in a German circus, BMX
and inline stars jump from the 15 meter high mega ramp.
'Circuses have more visitors than, for instance, the German Bundesliga
football league. However, the number of serious companies in this segment
has considerably decreased during the last years. For that reason the new
FlicFlac Show comes at the right time. It closes the market gap which
developed in the recent past', says Grandezza Managing Director Thomas
Schütte.
And DEAG CEO Professor Peter Schwenkow adds: 'FlicFlac has always been
considered as a circus company that strikes new, unconventional paths. This
relates not only to the program but is also illustrated by the current
cooperation with one of the leading German live organizers - this is a
novelty in this industry.'
The tour will start on February 15, 2013 and and is already booked
throughout Germany for a period of two years.
As planned at the foundation of Grandezza Entertainment in 2011, DEAG
extends with this cooperation its activities in Family Entertainment and
benefits from a market potential not yet tapped.
