Russian Player Takes Down EUR56,875 At Penultimate EMOP Of Season IV In Catalan Capital

Sergei Petrushin from Russia has won stop four of season IV of the which was held at Gran Casino, Barcelona, Spain at the weekend.
Sergei lifted EUR56,875 for his victory in the EUR1,100 buy-in event after almost two hours of heads up play against Josep Maria Galindo Lopez from Spain.
Heads up the two players decided to make a deal leaving EUR10,000 extra for the winner.
The final hand came when Petrushin raised 200,000 pre-flop, Galindo Lopez pushed all in and, after a countdown which saw him cover Galindo Lopez, Petrushin called.
Petrushin had Kd Qc and Lopez had Ad 8h, the board fell Kc 3c 3s 4d 2d and Petrushin's pair of kings was good enough for the title.
The European Masters of Poker now gears up for the final stop of the season at Clontarf Castle, Dublin, Ireland from November 16 to 18, 2012.
The main event buy in is EUR1,000 + EUR100 and players get a 45 minute clock for the first six levels and a 60 minute clock thereafter with a 20,000 starting stack.
Qualification is now underway on for as little as EUR2 or 200 VIP points.
