During the session on "Agricultural Technologies", Sean Lennon, Head of Product Marketing for CNH International, gave insight into the benefits of precision farming and "no-tillage" seeding and planting.
CNH is constantly investing in advanced technologies; its Case IH and New Holland agricultural equipment offerings are complemented by a complete line-up of precision farming tools, which are available with both GPS and Glonass satellite navigation systems -- compatibility as standard -- in order to offer maximum accuracy and reliability in diverse agricultural operations.
Precision farming systems allow farmers to accurately place seeds with the right amount of fertilizer, control machine maintenance, map crop results to manage in-field variables and improve productivity, cost savings, ease of operation, and ultimately, profitability.
"No-tillage" seeding and planting, coupled with the use of precision farming tools, could provide further advantages in terms of reduced soil erosion, better water management and fuel savings, plus increased soil fertility and better yields.
