PennantPark Investment Corporation Announces Public Offering
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 09/24/12 -- PennantPark Investment Corporation (the "Company") (NASDAQ: PNNT) announced that it plans to make a public offering of 9,000,000 shares of its common stock. The Company also has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1,350,000 shares of common stock. The offering price of the shares, subject to the approval of the Company's Board of Directors, will be determined by market conditions at the time of pricing in consultation with the underwriters of the offering. The offering of the shares will be made under the Company's shelf registration statement, which was filed with, and has been declared effective by, the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Company expects to use the net proceeds to reduce outstanding indebtedness, to fund investments in accordance with its investment objectives, or for general corporate or strategic purposes.
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc. are acting as joint bookrunning underwriters. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, RBC Capital Markets, LLC and Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated are acting as lead managers. Evercore Partners, FBR Capital Markets & Co., Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. and ING Financial Markets LLC are acting as co-managers.
