Optelian Hires Industry Veteran Glenn Byess to Lead New Optelian Service Organization

Optelian recently formed the new service division to increase the efficiency of product installations and to underscore the importance of highest-quality service to its broad customer base. Byess will lead this new division out of Optelian's Marietta, Georgia, location.
With more than 22 years of industry experience, Byess was most recently an Installation Regional Manager at TE Connectivity, where he led communications and optical networking infrastructure deployments for primary Tier 1 carriers. In this role, Byess was the single point of contact for customers on optical transport equipment training, web portal training, supplier awareness, "Ask Yourself" handbook requirements and all Network Planning & Engineering quality standards. Byess oversaw a team of more than 55 professionals and led the service cost center for a nine-state regional footprint across the southern U.S.
