(firmenpresse) - DUNDAS, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/26/12 -- MindShare Learning™ and supporting sponsors are set to officially launch their on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 10:00 am EST.

Our 5th annual contest challenges Canadian K-12 teachers to create and upload a 2-4 minute video showing how their 21st century teaching practices, using technology, have played a vital role in engaging and motivating their students in the classroom. "This year's theme is to celebrate Canadian teachers embracing 21st century skills and technology to support student success," says Robert Martellacci, president, MindShare Learning.

New this year, the focus of the contest is not just on the technology tools but also on how teachers are engaging their students in developing their .

Submissions will be accepted until midnight EST on Friday, December 14, 2012.

The official announcement of the 2012/13 three "Grand Prize Winners" will be on February 6, 2013. Winners will receive a classroom technology prize package valued at over $10,000 for their school.

Media Opportunities: Media will have the opportunity to take photos of state-of-the-art technology in action at the school and interview Mr. Robert Martellacci and Ms. Heidi Siwak, Mr. Barry Morlog, principal about the video challenge.
