K-Plussa feature to Sampo Bank's Visa Electron card, too

The K-Plussa feature can also be attached to Sampo Bank's Visa Electron card
starting from 12 April. The growing choice of cards provides K-Group customers
with increasingly diversified payment instruments and K-Plussa benefits. There
are currently nearly 900,000 K-Plussa co-branding cards with OP-Pohjola Group
and Nordea.
"The first co-branding cards were launched to the market in spring 2007, so the
growth has been fast. The co-branding card is convenient for the customer, as it
makes it easier to accrue K-Plussa points and K-Plussa benefits. And you have
one card less in your wallet. In 2009, the K-Plussa customer loyalty programme
gained more than 190,000 new customers and the programme reached the landmark
figure of two million households. This is a proof of the appeal of the K-Plussa
co-branding cards and K-Plussa rewards," says Niina Ryynänen, K-Plus Oy's
Managing Director.
"Adding the K-Plussa feature to the Sampo Bank Visa Electron card provides
customers with concrete benefits. Payments with the card ensure that K-Plussa
points are accrued from purchases," says Rauni Haaranen, Vice President for
Sampo Bank.
Visa Electron is an international payment and ATM card. The card can be used at
outlets marked with the Visa Electron symbol to withdraw cash from ATMs both
home and abroad. With a Visa Electron card with an attached K-Plussa feature, no
separate K-Plussa card is needed. Application for the card can be made at the
Sampo Bank customer service or office.

customer loyalty programme. Customers can easily make use of all the benefits
and services provided by local K-retailers and K-Group chains, not forgetting
