Changed Number of Shares and Votes in SEMAFO

As a result of the exercise of options, the total number of shares and votes in the Corporation has changed during September as follows.

The number of shares has increased by 12,500 common shares and the total number of shares in the Corporation as of September 28, 2012 amounts to 273,218,185 common shares. The total number of votes in the Corporation has increased by 12,500 and amounts to 273,218,185. The Corporation's share capital as of September 28, 2012 amounts to approximately SEK 7,863,219,364.

The above information has been made public in accordance with the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act.
