Pankl Racing Systems AG enters turbo supercharger-business and acquires
stake in APC - Advanced Propulsion Concepts GmbH
Kapfenberg, 1 October 2012
Pankl Racing Systems AG concluded a share sale and purchase agreement with
the German turbo-supercharger development company APC-Advanced Propulsion
Concepts GmbH and its shareholders. Pankl will acquire a 51% stake in a 2-
step transaction. Pankl and APC will together develop the turbo
supercharger business for motor racing.
About APC:
The company was founded in Mannheim, Germany in 2009. APC's core competency
is the development of advanced superchargers and air management systems for
combustion engines. The company employs 43 persons and generates annual
revenues of EUR5m. The two shareholders and managing directors, Professor
Hans-Peter Schmalzl and Thomas Schoefer have more than 25 years of
experience in leading positions in the turbo supercharger industry. Mr
Schmalzl has been teaching in the Turbo Academy of the University of
Mannheim for 5 years. Further information on the company is available on
