Thierry Denis Takes Action to Further Boost Ingenico's Competitive Position in the Small-to-Medium Business and Merchant Sectors in the United States

Since the introduction of its new Telium series point-of-sale (POS) devices in the U.S. market, Thierry Denis, President of Ingenico, North America took action to attract and bring the industry's best talent to the company in order to meet the accelerating demand for its innovative POS products and services. Denis' decision to create jobs and expand the banking channel sales team has been driven by three key developments in the marketplace:
An unprecedented demand for its EMV card and NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled devices in the small-to-medium merchant sector.
Increased number of successfully completed Class A certifications for Ingenico's new Telium series POS devices.
Accelerated growth and expansion of the company's competitive footprint in the U.S. banking channel especially in the ISO (independent sales organizations) market.

Denis announced the following Bankcard Sales appointments:
Rhonda Boardman assumes the role of vice president, Bankcard Sales, Western U.S. Boardman is a senior sales executive with over 20 years of experience in the electronic payments industry. Her previous leadership positions were with organizations such as TSYS and a global POS manufacturer where she was responsible for driving product and solutions strategies for Point of Service initiatives throughout the organization. Boardman was instrumental in capturing significant market share from rivals by launching new and disruptive high technology solutions in the marketplace. Her relationships within the processor and ISO community, and depth of understanding of these channels provides immediate credibility to the Ingenico ISO program.
Alan Forgione joins the company as vice president of Bankcard Sales, Eastern U.S. Forgione has been actively involved in the electronic payments industry for over 27 years. His career has encompassed many aspects of the payment card world, including technology sales, out sourcing sales and risk management sales. Forgione comes to Ingenico from ACI Worldwide, where he was in charge of sales of frontend, backend and risk management software solutions to acquirers. His other employers include companies, such as United Cash Solutions where he served as President for United Bank Card, and CardSystems. Also, Forgione has served as President of Northeast Acquirers Association for over 10 years.
Both Boardman and Forgione will report to Bernie Frey, senior vice president of Bankcard Sales with responsibilities to continue to grow sales of Telium devices and POS solutions in the banking channel.
In addition, the Banking Sales team has hired two more seasoned industry professionals Melanie Pino and Jeff Feldman, as new account managers. Their professional experience in the industry spans more than 20 years, including companies in the acquiring, processing, and ISO space.
