BMO Harris Appoints BMO Asset Management Corp. as Sub-Advisor for BMO Harris International Special Equity Portfolio and Announces Other Changes
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/01/12 -- BMO Harris Investment Management Inc. ("BHIMI"), the investment management arm of BMO Harris Private Banking and the manager of BMO Harris International Special Equity Portfolio (the "Portfolio"), has received regulatory approval to change the Portfolio's investment objectives without requiring unitholder approval. In connection with the change to the Portfolio's investment objectives, BHIMI will also change the Portfolio's name to BMO Harris U.S. Special Equity Portfolio, and its investment strategies and sub-advisor. Each of these changes will become effective on or about October 26, 2012.
Having determined that there are limited opportunities available for a mandate investing in small- and mid-capitalization companies in the international market, and that there are better opportunities in such issuers in the U.S. market, BHIMI will change the sub-advisor of the Portfolio from GlobeFlex Capital, L.P. to BMO Asset Management Corp., a sub-advisor with expertise in the U.S. small- and mid-capitalization market. As a result of the change in sub-advisor, the Portfolio will adopt new investment strategies to reflect the investment style of the new sub-advisor, BMO Asset Management Corp.
