Network Global Logistics Hires Industry Veteran as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing
(firmenpresse) - BROOMFIELD, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/01/12 -- Network Global Logistics (NGL), a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced today that it has hired supply chain and business development veteran Paul Gettings as the company's new Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
"Paul knows logistics and he's shown that his sales and marketing skills can produce bottom-line results," said Scott Riddle, NGL's President and Chief Executive Officer. "He'll be key in our efforts to take NGL to the next level as we look to grow organically and through acquisitions."
Before joining NGL, Gettings was President of Solutions for Data Exchange Corporation, where he led global sales and marketing. He was responsible for the company's international expansion and the successful launch of a new supply chain software division.
Gettings also spent 20 years at Sonic Air, which was acquired by UPS Supply Chain Solutions. At first focusing on SonicAir's Service Parts Logistics and Next Flight Out segments, he was soon promoted to EVP of Sales and Marketing after the UPS acquisition. During his time at UPS Supply Chain, he focused on the expansion of the supply chain services group, including UPS' expansion into supply chain service and e-fulfillment.
He was also honored with the Association for Services Management International (AFSMI) "Management Creativity Award" for developing a system using couriers to perform technical repairs faster and more efficiently than field engineers.
A frequent speaker at conferences and events in the supply chain industry, he graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in business administration. He also studied at Harvard University and the Universidad de Sonora in Mexico. He lives in Agoura Hills, California, with his wife and three children.
