- Subsidiary acquires new administration and sales offices in Xiamen in
Fujian Province
- Move planned for Q1 2015, investment of around EUR 6.0 million

Cologne, 2 October 2012 - Ultrasonic AG (Prime Standard, ISIN DE000A1KREX3,
US5), the German holding company of an established Chinese producer and
supplier of branded shoes, announces that its subsidiary Suoli (Xiamen)
Industrial Co., Ltd., which is mainly responsible for distributing the
ULTRASONIC brand of footwear, has signed a contract with a state-owned
developer to acquire administration and sales premises in a representative
office complex to be built in Xiamen in Fujian Province. It is expected to
move into the approx. 2,050 sqm premises when they are completed in the
first quarter of 2015. The new premises are in the direct vicinity of its
present sales headquarters. The office space is intended mainly for
Ultrasonic's growing sales team and will include a large showroom,
principally for the latest urban footwear collections. The advance purchase
price for the premises is RMB 49 million (about EUR 6.0 million), which is
about 20% below the going rate for similar premises. The acquisition of
these premises will improve Ultrasonic's long-term cost position compared
with its present rented office space as rents have risen enormously in
recent years and this trend is expected to continue in the future. However,
the savings will only be visible from 2015 as the present rent contract
does not end until then.

equivalent to approx. EUR 50 to EUR 140. Within the last three years
Ultrasonic's business had a compound annual growth rate of more than 34.4
percent. In FY 2011, the company generated total revenues of EUR 119.4
million and achieved a net profit of EUR 24.9 million.
