SDL to Provide Next Day Social Media Poll for All Four Presidential Debates
Online Candidate Sentiment Report for Eight Swing States to be Posted Morning After
(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, UNITED STATES -- (Marketwire) -- 10/03/12 -- (LSE: SDL), the leader in Global Information Management, announced today it will provide a special gauging online reaction to the upcoming Presidential debates, beginning with the first debate on October 3rd in Denver, Colorado. The one-of-a-kind report will provide candidate sentiment scores for each of eight battleground states based on online postings for the two hour period directly after each debate. The free, no obligation, report will cover both positive and negative comments on both candidates on online sites, including Facebook and Twitter, as well as reader comments on popular political blog sites. The eight battleground states covered are New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Colorado and Nevada.

The SDL Next Day Debate Report will combine a unique and fast data point for campaign analysts for each of the eight battleground states." The three presidential debates will be held on the evenings of the 3rd, 16th and 22nd October while the sole vice-presidential debates will be held on October 11th.
According to latest polling numbers, nearly all of the battleground states are within the margin of error of plus or minus 3-4%. Given that there are an estimated 7-10% of Americans that remain undecided at this late date, these debates could play a major part in deciding this election.
Online tracking polls have gained credibility as almost four out of five Americans are now using the internet. According to recent comScore data, 98 percent of the U.S. online population uses social media, including 95 percent of online users aged 55 and older.
