Functional Technologies Reports Increase in Non-Brokered Private Placement

(TSX VENTURE: FEB)(OTCQX: FEBTF) reports that, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, the amount to be raised in the second tranche of the non-brokered private placement announced in its news release of July 16, 2012 has been increased to $1,925,200. Details of the closing of the first tranche were reported in the company's news release of August 9, 2012.
