Pacific Biomarkers Participates in Washington Trade Mission to India
(firmenpresse) - MUMBAI, INDIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/08/12 -- Pacific Biomarkers (PBI), a WA-based limited liability company and provider of specialized clinical biomarker laboratory services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostics industries, announced that Michael Murphy, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer, is participating in a Washington State trade mission in India lead by Governor Christine Gregoire. The delegates on the trade mission are visiting several cities in India including: Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai. Dr. Murphy is a member of the life science delegation who has been meeting with a number of business leaders within the Indian life science sector during the mission. The objectives of the meetings include promoting collaboration and increased communication between organizations in the Washington life science sector with similar organizations in the Indian market.
Pacific Biomarkers and India-based Clinigene International, a subsidiary of Biocon, announced in January they had entered into a collaborative agreement to address the specialty biomarker and high-end clinical trial laboratory needs of the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. "The partnership with Clinigene provides us access to India while closely collaborating with a quality organization like Clinigene. We are delighted with how well our two organizations are positioned to address the opportunities in the Indian market," said Michael Murphy, Ph.D., COO, Pacific Biomarkers.
