Men Across the Globe Will Shave Down and Grow a Moustache This Movember to Change the Face of Men's Health

Men across the globe will shave their faces on Movember 1st and start growing their moustache for 30 days. Movember is the global men's health charity that encourages men to grow and women to support the Mo (slang for moustache) during the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Participation is easy. Men and women register at to grow or support the Mo. As stated in the , men start the first of November clean shaven and grow their moustache for 30 days, getting friends, family and colleagues to donate and support their Mo-growing efforts.
"We are very excited to celebrate on Movember 1st, which marks the first day of the 30 day Mo-growing journey," said Mark Hedstrom, country director for Movember. "During the month of Movember, men become walking, talking billboards for men's health, with each moustache generating 2,413 conversations during the month."
In the U.S., funds raised are directed to programs run by Movember and its men's health partners, (PCF) and . These programs support a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in the areas of , and .
On Movember 1st, participants are encouraged to shave down to grow a Mo and use the hashtags #Movember and #ShavetheDate when sharing event updates and photos on , , Instagram, ((at)Movember) and other social media.
