Thunderbird Resorts Inc.: September 2012 Revenue Report; Appointment of New Director
(firmenpresse) - PANAMA, REPUBLIC OF PANAMA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/10/12 -- Thunderbird Resorts Inc. ("Thunderbird" or "Group") (FRANKFURT: 4TR)(EURONEXT: TBIRD) and reports the following revenues for September 2012:

(1) Philippines experienced a major typhoon in August 2012 that our markets are still recovering from as many area residents are investing their time and resources into home repairs. Also, one of the key roads to our Rizal property remains closed as of this report, making it more difficult for a particular market area to reach this property.
(2) 2012 revenues consist of: a) All gaming revenue; b) Revenue from our wholly owned Fiesta Hotel; and c) Revenue from management fees for the Thunderbird Hotel - Pardo, Thunderbird Hotel - Carrera and Thunderbird Hotel - El Pueblo; 2011 revenues consist of all of the above excluding management fees from the Thunderbird Hotel - El Pueblo, which was owned by the Group rather than under management at that time.
(3) A smoking ban in Costa Rica went into effect in early April 2012 that we believe is impacting on revenue over the near term as the market adjusts to the new restriction.
NEW BOARD MEMBER: The board of directors has appointed a new director, Marie Madeleine Linter. Ms. Linter is a licensed attorney since 1982. In addition, she received a Master of Comparative Law from the University of San Diego along with a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Gall in Switzerland. Over the years Ms. Linter has been heavily engaged in corporate development and strategic planning with several companies and has taken on the role of an "engagement manager" for a health care company. Ms. Linter set up a consulting firm to coach privatization projects, and has headed due diligence teams on various projects. Since 2012 she has been on the board of LC Partners AG in Switzerland. Her combined know-how of law and economy and the management of international companies will certainly add value to the Company's business.
