Central Illinois Farmland to Sell in Murray Wise Auction
(firmenpresse) - CHAMPAIGN, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 10/10/12 -- Approximately 771 acres of farmland in McLean and Ford counties will sell at auction Thursday, Nov. 15, with managing the sale.
"This is just the type of offering that people come to us asking about these days -- excellent, productive soils in a good location," said Joe Bubon, executive vice president of the auction company. The sale will include a four-bedroom brick house, which will sell with four acres including a Morton shop and Quonset storage building, with grain storage and dryer for more than 50,000 bushels.
The primary soil types are Drummer Silty Clay Loam, El Paso Silty Clay Loam, Raub Silt Loam and Lisbon Silt Loam. Most of the acreage is located along 1500N and 1600N just north of Highway 9 between Bloomington and Champaign.
"These tracts are located within a proximity that allows them to be easily worked by a single operator. Yet, we're selling them in tracts of 80 acres or less, so neighboring farmers can bid on just the tracts that meet their needs. For example, someone might have a capacity to work an extra 80 or 160 acres with existing equipment. He can bid on just that, and our system of bidding places him on an equal footing with bidders who are seeking larger amounts of land, or even all of it," said Bubon. "In fact, in recent auctions, most land has gone to buyers looking for 80 acres or less."
The house has a finished basement, large sunroom and extensive cherry cabinetry and trim. "The attention to detail in the home is amazing, and it has beautiful views looking out over the landscaped property," said Bubon.
