Regensburg, April 16, 2010 - The Management Board and the Supervisory Board of
GENEART AG have announced their joint statement with respect to the voluntary
public offer by Applied Biosystems Deutschland GmbH to the shareholders of
GENEART AG. This joint statement is in reference to the offer document published
by the Applied Biosystems Deutschland GmbH (affiliate of the Life Technologies
Group) on April 13, 2010.
The Management Board's and the Supervisory Board's joint statement may be
