American Banker's The 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking Celebrates 10th Anniversary, Insurance Networking News Hosts Fifth Annual Women in Insurance Leadership Forum in Chicago, and Traders Magazine Announces Second Annual Wall Street Women Honors

On October 16 in New York, SourceMedia flagship brand American Banker will host its largest-ever gala celebrating "The Most Powerful Women in Banking." Insurance Networking News, meanwhile, will hold its fifth annual Women in Insurance Leadership Forum on October 17-18 in Chicago. Also this week, Traders Magazine, the leading information resource for the institutional trading community, will announce the winners of its second annual "Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence" awards, to be presented at an event on November 7.
SourceMedia's portfolio of events for women also includes "The Women Advisors Forum," a nationwide series of networking and educational events and an online community for wealth management professionals (developed under the aegis of Financial Planning, On Wall Street, and Bank Investment Consultant); and the "2nd Annual Freda Johnson Award" honoring a trailblazing woman in public finance to be presented at The Bond Buyer's annual Deal of the Year Gala.
While each brand's program has unique features, all share common goals: to honor women's achievements in traditionally male-dominated fields; to create communities of successful women that foster mentoring and professional development; and to highlight success through diversity in the financial services industry.

This year's "The 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" program saw the introduction of a new homepage () bringing together all Women in Banking resources and delivering regular content of relevance to women in banking. The gala, which takes place October 16 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, will host more than 600 guests.
Traders Magazine honorees include the recipients of the Excellence in Leadership award, presented to a woman who demonstrates exemplary leadership and exceptional performance throughout her career, a Diversity Achievement Award, which honors the efforts of a single firm's pursuit of gender diversity in the executive ranks, and 15 individual Wall Street Women awards. The winners will be celebrated on November 7 at the "Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence" ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York to be hosted by Traders Magazine and SourceMedia.
