Two Weeks Remaining to Participate in Western Direct Insurance's Quote for a Cure Campaign
(firmenpresse) - HIGH RIVER, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/17/12 -- There are two weeks remaining to help the Canadian Cancer Society by participating in Western Direct Insurance's Quote for a Cure campaign. Western Direct Insurance partnered with the to create Quote for a Cure: a fundraising campaign to fight during October, which is Women's Health Awareness Month.
Through Quote for a Cure, is donating $10 to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta/N.W.T. Division for every completed car or home insurance quote received online at or toll-free at 1-855-674-6338 during the month of October.
"We have received very positive feedback on this campaign throughout the first half of October, and we want to continue the momentum," said Rod Cunniam, Vice President, e-Business at Western Direct Insurance. "We encourage people to tell their friends and family about Quote for a Cure. It only takes five minutes to get a quote. There's no obligation and you support the Canadian Cancer Society."
Nearly 89,000 Canadian women will be diagnosed with some form of cancer this year. Money raised through Quote for a Cure will benefit Canadian Cancer Society-funded research into women's cancers. The campaign also reminds women to talk to their doctors about screening and early detection.
