Setting hundreds of Calgary's hippest hipsters ablaze in nostalgia, this year's glam fest is taking you straight back to the good 'ol days of sleep-away camp. Hike up your shorts and get your glamp on for , where city swank beets bug-juice cocktails, boondoggle booty, tuck shop surprises and s'more- all in support of Rethink Breast Cancer.
Rethink Breast Cancer will be transforming Devonian Gardens, 400, 317 7 Ave. S.W, Calgary, AB, into the coolest camp scene in downtown Calgary. Guests will find themselves transported back to their best summer highlights and are encouraged to dress the part-with a sexy cocktail twist - break out your camp tee, glam out your plaid, and channel your inner bunking babe. More than 500 party campers will be entertained with s'mores, sing-a-longs, campfire and canoes, not to mention the musical styling of DJ Fayaz.
"Boobyball has grown over the past 11 years into the 'must attend' fundraiser for young philanthropists" says MJ Decoteau, executive director, Rethink Breast Cancer "This year's theme, Camp Booby, is such a fun way to get young people out in support of our important work with young women with breast cancer."
Led by Rethink Breast Cancer's BOOBYBALL co-chairs Tasha Westerman, Mandy Dinning and honorary chair, Tara Slone, this year's team of committed campers are guaranteeing ticket-holders have a night of throwback summer fun, while raising funds for an important cause. This year's goal is to raise $80,000. Proceeds from the event will help expand vital local programs for young women with breast cancer and develop and fund desperately needed new programs.
As a volunteer-run not-for-profit, Rethink Calgary is committed to ensuring that every dollar raised is invested into the following local programs:
