PDF/A-3: The new standard has now been officially published!
The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) has published the new standard - and, of course, our PDF Compressor will now instantly start supporting PDF/A-3
(PresseBox) - The functionality of our PDF Compressor has been expanded to include PDF/A-3: all customers who are already using the software will receive a free update straight away!
PDF/A-3 includes a new, central feature: it can include any kind of document, including Excel tables, Word documents, HTML or XML files, as an embedded attachment to the PDF/A document. This combines machine- or human-readable data with a digital image, all in the same file. This also makes it possible to fulfil two previously mutually exclusive needs: to keep working with a "living" document, and to archive it.
