Trans-Lux Appoints 3 Key Executives
(firmenpresse) - NORWALK, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/12 -- Trans-Lux Corporation (PINKSHEETS: TNLX), a world leader in Digital Displays and LED Lighting Technologies, is supporting its continued growth with the appointment of three key management executives. Joining the company are Craig Katt as Senior Vice President of Display Technologies for the TL Vision line of LED and flat panel displays; Brian Laroche as President of TL Energy responsible for LED lighting solutions; and Sami Sassoun as Chief Financial Officer.
In addition to strengthening the organizational structure, the new executive leadership team will help position Trans-Lux for future growth opportunities that align with its new business strategies encompassing the company's innovative display and lighting solutions.

joins Trans-Lux as the Senior VP of Display Technologies responsible for LED and flat panel display solutions. He comes to Trans-Lux with an extensive management and consulting background in display technologies across sales, marketing and engineering operations. Most recently, Craig served as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment division for D3LED and was instrumental in securing market recognition for their LED scoreboard displays. He previously held senior management positions with industry leaders such as Barco and Daktronics, as well as having consulted for other major LED manufacturers. Throughout his career Craig has authored numerous technology articles and provided legislative advocacy in Washington, DC.
As President of TL Energy, the LED Lighting Division of Trans-Lux, is responsible for building a business model that addresses the opportunities and demands of an environmentally conscious marketplace. Brian brings several years of successful sales and marketing experience with major manufacturers where he developed vertical markets for new lighting technologies. Prior to joining Trans-Lux, he was Director of Sales and Marketing for LG's LED Lighting Group. He previously held key leadership positions with Philips Lighting Company. Brian is a former Captain in the United States Army. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the University of Vermont.
brings strong credentials to the role of Chief Financial Officer for Trans-Lux Corporation. His extensive experience ranges from investment banking to equity financing to managing regulatory affairs, as well as extensive operations experience in process improvement, cash flow optimization, organizational change and implementing performance measurements. Previously, Sami worked in investment banking in New York and Tel Aviv with Israel Discount Banking and Brean Murray & Co. He also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Pro-Fruit Marketing and Prestige Window Fashions. Sami obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1992 and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Sami holds a B.S. in accounting from Rutgers University.
