Introduction of Sv-Domains at the 2nd Level
(PresseBox) - Interested users could register before only sv-domains at the third level, like myname.com.sv, myname.org.sv or myname.edu.sv. Now it is possible to register names like myname.sv. The registry has parted the application process in different periods.
There is a Sunrise Period, which starts at the first October and ends at the 30th November 2012.
Only registrants may register sv-domains at the second level, which have already registered the same name at the 3rd level. The Anglo-Saxonian world calls this method "grandfathering". A Local Admin Contact for sv-domains is still required. Secura GmbH is able to provide a local contact.
If there are more than one applicant for one sv-domain, the registrant with the oldest active sv-domain at the 3rd will get the 2nd level domain.
The landrush period of sv-domains at the 2nd level starts at the 1 January 2013. Anybody can register any free sv-domain.
The Local Admin Contact is still required. Secua GmbH can provide such local contact.
Applications are processed in the usual first come, first served basis.
