The new v7.1 integration makes it easy for companies to protect sensitive data stored in the FileNet P8 repository. With role-based redaction, documents can be redacted on the fly based on predefined business rules. Redact-It includes built-in macros to automatically redact personal information like Social Security numbers and allows administrators to create custom search criteria using regular expressions. For standard forms, they can create zone-based redaction templates, too.
Role-based redaction eliminates the need to store redacted versions of documents and allows sensitive data to be accessed by the people who need to see it and protected from those who don't. When users view a file in Brava, it will automatically deliver the appropriate view (redacted or not redacted) based on the permissions assigned to their role in FileNet. This helps companies reduce liability and achieve regulatory compliance without sacrificing workflow efficiency.
