HELMA Eigenheimbau AG publishes 2009 annual report
Lehrte, April 22, 2010 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG, specialist for individual
solid construction houses and sustainable energy concepts, has published
its 2009 annual report today. The company achieved a marked earnings
improvement in the reporting period. Along with the higher revenue level,
this also particularly reflects the further improvements in cost efficiency
that have been achieved. The company raised consolidated revenue (IFRS) by
more than 10% to EUR 62.4 million, and posted earnings before interest and
tax (EBIT) of EUR 1.1 million (2008: minus EUR 0.4 million). Consolidated
earnings after tax improved by EUR 1.1 million to EUR 0.2 million. Earnings
per share amounted to EUR 0.07 (2008: minus EUR 0.36). The earnings
improvement achieved had an extremely positive impact on operating cash
flow, which rose from minus EUR 2.9 million to EUR 3.0 million.
'The 2009 financial year was a highly successful one for us,' commented
Karl-Heinz Maerzke, Management Board Chairman of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG,
with a look to the results. 'With the turnaround that we have accomplished,
and the strong sales results, we have even slightly exceeded our ambitious
annual target in what remains a competitive market. We look forward to the
future with great confidence in view of the continued sound sales figures,
and the HELMA Group's positive overall trend,' Mr. Maerzke went on to
comment.

Among other items, the annual report includes a detailed analysis of sales
figures on pages 30-36, as well as the forecast report on pages 61-63,
which explains in detail the Management Board's positive outlook for the
2010 financial year with anticipated revenue growth to EUR 80.0 million, as
well as a significant EBIT enhancement to EUR 3.0 million.
