BrightScope Announces the Top 25 Charlotte Area-Based Companies With the Best 401k Plans
List Veteran Congentrix Energy, LLC Takes This Year's Top Spot, While Last Year's No. 1, Nucor Corporation, Does Not Make Rank

This year BrightScope has extended the list to include the top 25 companies.
BrightScope obtains an increasing amount of its data directly from plan sponsors and record keepers, and augments these primary sources with data from publicly available sources such as the Department of Labor and the Securities and Exchange Commission. By analyzing and interpreting this data, BrightScope provides unprecedented transparency into the 401k industry.

Drop in rank: three of the previous 10 companies included on last year's list dropped at least one spot on this year's list, most notably -- EnPro Industries, Inc. dropped one place from 6th to 7th, Goodrich Corporation fell three ranks from No. 7 to No. 10, and SPX Corporation slipped eight spots from 10th to 18th
Upward Movement: another three of the previous 10 companies ascended at least one spot on this year's list -- Congentrix Energy, LLC climbed two places from 3rd to 1st, Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP moved up two spots from No. 5 to No. 3, and Arrowood Indemnity Company rose four ranks from 9th to 5th
