October Update to the "Wanted by the CBSA" List

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/26/12 -- The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the 21st successful removal of a member of the "Wanted by the CBSA" list, and the addition of five new profiles to the .

Giorgio Cote, who was inadmissible to Canada for involvement with organized criminality and was apprehended by the Toronto Immigration Task Force last Tuesday, was removed from Canada on October 22nd.

The "Wanted by the CBSA" program has proven to be a useful tool in assisting border services officers in locating individuals who are wanted for removal. To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 32 individuals in Canada, and the CBSA has removed 21 of these individuals from Canada. In addition, five individuals were located abroad. The five new profiles announced today are featured alongside cases highlighted in the past. Older cases will be archived but remain online for reference.

The public's assistance with the "Wanted by the CBSA" program has been tremendous and the CBSA encourages the public to frequently visit the "Wanted by the CBSA" Web page for updates on new cases, apprehensions and removals.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the Web site.
