Pfleiderer AG: Pfleiderer sells Pergo to Mohawk Industries

Dusseldorf, October 29, 2012 - Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE0006764749), has
entered into an agreement to sell Pergo to Mohawk Industries, Inc., a
leading supplier of flooring applications in the US. Pergo is a leading
manufacturer of premium laminate flooring in both Europe and the United
States. The transaction is expected to close no later than first quarter of
2013 and is subject to customary governmental approvals and closing
conditions.
As part of the ongoing restructuring Pfleiderer AG last year had announced
the disposal of the North American operations. Following the initial
disposal of the Uniboard operations in the United States in January 2012,
the Canadian operations of Uniboard were sold in September 2012. With the
sale of Pergo, the withdrawal from the North American market has now been
completed.
BNP Paribas and Nordea Corporate Finance are acting as financial advisors
and Morrison Cohen LLP and Noerr LLP are acting as legal advisors to
Pfleiderer AG.
