Deadline Approaching to Register for Denver Meeting Hosted by Center for Productive Longevity That Stimulates Baby Boomers to Become Successful Entrepreneurs
Meeting to Focus on the Benefits and Opportunities of Creating a New Business Later in Life
(firmenpresse) - BOULDER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/29/12 -- The November 12 deadline is approaching to register for Denver's event. The Mile High venue is the final destination in a four-city series organized by Boulder-based Center for Productive Longevity (CPL). CPL serves as the bridge between people 55 and older (55+) and opportunities for them to continue in productive activities. The organization created the series of meetings to help Baby Boomers contribute to the national momentum for new-business creation. In fact, Colorado ranks fourth in the country for entrepreneurism with 420 startups per 100,000 adults, according to CNNMoney.
"At 85, CPL is my purpose and passion. I want to help people in their later years find ways to continue living a productive and fulfilling life," said Bill Zinke, founder and president of the CPL. "With unemployment high and economic growth low for the foreseeable future, new-business creation provides an important way for Baby Boomers to continue working and adding value."
A new survey from Wells Fargo shows that nearly one-third of adults with income less than $100,000 plan to work until they are 80 or older, indicating the changing demographics and needs of people at and beyond retirement age.
The Denver meeting will help address this issue by demonstrating how Baby Boomers can become entrepreneurs through presentations and interactive breakout sessions.
