Reliant Announces Appointment of New President and CEO
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/02/12 -- Reliant Gold Corp. ("Reliant" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: REC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kabir Ahmed as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective today, and subject to any applicable regulatory approval. Mr. Ahmed, the founder and a former President and CEO of the Company, is a corporate and securities lawyer and has a background in corporate finance and strategic management. Mr. Ahmed will be working closely with the Company's board of directors to carry out a strategic review of all financing and acquisition alternatives for the Company with a view to creating long-term shareholder value.
The Company wishes to thank Mr. Andrew Hara, the Company's current President and CEO, for his service to the Company. Mr. Hara has skillfully guided the Company through a period of time that has been extremely difficult for the junior mineral exploration and mining sector in Canada, and internationally. Mr. Hara will continue to serve on the Company's board of directors where his technical expertise as a mining engineer will be invaluable.
