Minister Oliver Announces Appointment to the Board of Directors of Sustainable Development Technology Canada

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/06/12 -- The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, today announced the appointment of John Bradlow and Jason Lee to the Board of Directors of Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC). Both Mr. Bradlow and Mr. Lee will hold office for one-year terms on a part-time basis.

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bradlow and Mr. Lee to the Board of Directors for Sustainable Development Technology Canada," said Minister Oliver. "Their extensive knowledge and experience with innovation and financing in a business environment will be assets as the organization continues to promote the development of innovative environmental technology solutions."

Mr. John Bradlow is a Senior Partner at Penfund, one of Canada's leading private equity firms. He holds an MBA from Harvard University and is a Chartered Accountant in Ontario. Mr. Bradlow was also the Director and Chair of the Public Policy Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital Association.

Mr. Jason Lee is the Chief Operating Officer of Ooka Island Inc., an educational company located in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Mr. Lee holds an Executive MBA, a certification in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island.

Sustainable Development Technology Canada is an arm's-length foundation created by the Government of Canada in 2001 to support projects that develop and demonstrate new technologies to promote sustainable development. SDTC's work is an important part of the Government's commitment to create high-quality jobs for Canadians and promote innovation in Canada's economy.
