Best Solution to Ensure Real-Time Application Delivery and Network Performance to Large Data Centers and Call Centers

(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/12 -- ™, Inc., a leading innovator in WAN reliability and application performance quality network appliances, today announced general availability of its , the latest addition to the company's line of . The new Mercury T5000 delivers the best enterprise-grade WAN connectivity features to support the high capacity requirements of large data centers and call centers.

The T5000 also includes a significant software upgrade to Talari's patented and dynamic APN (Adaptive Private Networking) software, APNware 2.5, which supports the entire family of Mercury WAN Appliances. APNware 2.5 includes added capabilities designed to support enterprises with more locations/sites, with improved scalability and performance, especially for small packet applications such as VoIP, virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) and video conferencing.

"The T5000 is crafted for call centers that have the utmost requirements for reliability and performance. It offers the best resilience available to insulate applications from network outages, without call drops or user disruption, while avoiding and mitigating congestion, latency, jitter and loss, resulting in the highest possible user voice quality experience," said Talari's VP of Engineering John Dickey. "Our APNware is ideal for voice because it provides end-to-end QoS across multiple, simultaneous, disparate WAN networks, combining them into a seamless constantly monitored secure virtual WAN. The T5000 with APNware now provides service levels of up to five times more than earlier versions and is ideal for customers who need to pump data across virtual WANs at multi-gigabit rates. It provides WAN insurance to the users and peace of mind to the IT organization."

"Data centers and call centers increasingly expect their WANs to support delay-intolerant applications, such as VoIP, that require significantly higher performance, predictability and reliability from the network," said John Mazur, senior analyst, 451 Research. "Enhancing application performance with WAN augmentation appliances like Talari's that aggregate and orchestrate leased lines with low-cost broadband Internet links from multiple providers, with policy-based QoS controls, significantly improves WAN throughput and reliability, and thus application performance."

The T5000 supports bandwidth aggregation up to 3.0 Gbps upstream/3.0 Gbps downstream across as many as eight WAN connections. It also acts as a control unit for all other Talari appliances, including the T510 for SOHO and small branch offices, and the T730, T750 and T3000 for large branch offices and corporate/main headquarters. It offers unparalleled performance and scalability for large data centers and call centers, supporting gigabits of WAN bandwidth across the union of private WAN links and public Internet connections for up to 128 branch connections.

At the heart of Talari's is its patented APNware software, which aggregates multiple links in parallel with dynamic pathways to achieve greater reliability and resiliency through broadband and other commodity networks. APNware 2.5 performs sub-second analysis and builds a real-time map of the quality of those links to determine where to send each packet, then applies a QoS engine to prioritize which applications use the best links at any given time. The end result is a highly resilient WAN that seamlessly adapts to changing conditions in the underlying network and ensures that applications operate without disruption and at a high level of quality.

Talari Networks is redefining WAN reliability and performance quality. By aggregating multiple broadband links and continuously adapting to the quality of the network, Talari enables true enterprise-class quality and reliability at consumer prices. Talari's patented technology delivers 30-100 times gain in bandwidth per dollar, 40-90 percent on-going WAN cost reductions and greater visibility and reliability than MPLS or any other private network. Talari has received numerous industry awards and accolades including being named a Gartner Cool Vendor, Best of Interop -- Performance Optimization and Techworld Awards -- 2012 Networking Application Product of the Year.
