Pöyry awarded EUR 1.5 million contract for safety assessments for nuclear power plant in Switzerland

Pöyry has been awarded a contract by the Swiss Kernkraftwerk Leibstadt AG to
improve and enhance its current integrated Probabilistic Safety Assessment
(PSA). The total value of the two-phase contract amounts to EUR 1.5 million.
The main objective is to enhance the existing PSA by making it an integrated
state of the art PSA that conforms to the recently updated Swiss Licensing
Authority guidelines and aspires to international best practice. The scope of
the PSA is to include full power plant operation, low power and shutdown plant
operating states.
Pöyry has supported Kernkrafwerk Leibstadt AG with PSA studies for over 20 years
from development of the initial PSA through support for power upgrade to the
current project. This assignment underlines Pöyry's position as a leading
provider of availability, reliability and maintainability, PSA, safety and risk
consultancy services to the nuclear and other industries.
