New Multi-Target Publish Feature Simplifies Workflow and Testing Across Multiple Servers

(firmenpresse) - CAMARILLO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/19/12 -- OmniUpdate, the leading web content management system (CMS) provider for higher education, has released version 9.17 of its OU Campus™ CMS. This release of OU Campus includes a new feature called Multi-Target Publish.

Multi-Target Publish enables users to create a workflow across multiple servers. Developers can extensively test server-side code, new redesigns, or any major site changes on an alternate server before going live on the production server. Administrators can easily determine access rights for which servers a user can publish to, and set the default publish target. Users with appropriate access can also upload, compare, and preview pages in different publish targets. In addition, the OU Campus Dependency Manager continues to ensure that links are always up to date, even across alternative publish targets.

Lance Merker, President and CEO of OmniUpdate, stated, "Multi-Target Publish benefits everyone by making it even easier to develop, test, and preview site changes on a simulated production server before going live with them. Continually enhancing our CMS for process efficiency is important to us and our customers, and this new OU Campus feature is a major accomplishment in that ongoing effort."
