Vizrt today announced, with great sadness, the sudden death of its Chief
Executive Officer, Bjarne Berg. Mr. Berg passed away this week end. The company
extends its deepest condolences to his family.
"Bjarne was a most valued colleague and dear friend. His intelligence,
diligence, commitment and strategic capabilities were at the heart of Vizrt's
establishment and successful growth, building the company from within the news
and sports division of TV2 in Norway into a multinational operator and leader in
its field with a management team of unusual excellence. He will be greatly
missed by all of us." said Svein Ove Strømmen, Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Vizrt, adding: "He leaves a legacy of successful achievements
behind him which the company will continue to build on."
It has been decided to nominate Martin Burkhalter, the company's Chief
Operations Officer, to act as Chief Executive Officer of the company until
further resolution.
