"We are thrilled to once again be recognized as an industry leader - it's an important validation of our efforts to employ best practices," Law Society Chief Executive Officer, Robert G.W. "As the regulator of Ontario's legal profession, the Law Society strives to cultivate a thriving workforce to ensure we can provide high quality professional service to the public, lawyers and paralegals.

The designation recognizes leading employers in the City of Toronto and the regional municipalities of York, Halton, Peel and Durham. The competition was open to private and public sector employers of any size, with a head office or principal place of business within the GTA.

Evaluation was based on a standard set of criteria, including: (1) physical workplace; (2) work atmosphere and social; (3) health, financial and family benefits; (4) vacation and time off; (5) employee communications; (6) performance management; (7) training and skills development; and (8) community involvement.

In choosing finalists, competition organizers at Mediacorp Canada, the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers, compare employers to other organizations within the same field to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
