Endurance Welcomes Lynn Parks-Carter to Head Western Region Excess Casualty Insurance Unit

PEMBROKE, Bermuda - November 20, 2012 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
(NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty
insurance and reinsurance, today announced that it has hired Lynn Parks-Carter
as Senior Vice President to head its Western Region Excess Casualty insurance
unit, based in Los Angeles. The business unit offers third party liability
coverage for mid-size to large accounts through retail and wholesale brokers.
Ms. Parks-Carter has managed commercial lines insurance with both carriers and
brokers for the last thirty years.
Endurance's Los Angeles based team services accounts in the western United
States while its New York based Excess Casualty insurance unit, under the
leadership of Doreen Miller, Senior Vice President, Eastern Region, underwrites
accounts in the eastern U.S.
Michael Warwicker, Executive Vice President, Head of Insurance Operations,
Endurance Risk Solutions (Bermuda), noted, "Lynn is a respected professional in
the excess casualty market where she has demonstrated expertise servicing the
needs of complex accounts. Her long-standing relationships with clients and
brokers coupled with her depth of knowledge in underwriting and insurance
operations will serve Endurance well as we seek to expand our presence in this
region."
Ms. Parks-Carter joins Endurance from Starr Indemnity and Liability Company
where, as Vice President, U.S. Casualty Manager, Excess Casualty and
Transportation, she was a key member of the team that launched their "National
Accounts" Excess Casualty insurance unit in 2009. Prior to that, Ms. Parks-
Carter was with AIG Cat Excess, as Senior Vice President/U.S. Casualty Manager,
responsible for their U.S. Excess Casualty portfolio.
