Suction of Polluted Air of Inductive Lacquer Drying Ovens
In an inductive lacquer drying oven, packing belts from steel wetted with water-soluble lacquer are dried. The air contamination thus generated is sucked off.

(firmenpresse) - During this process, the sucked air first flows through a high-capacity cyclone filter which takes care of the pre-separation and extraction using its centrifugal force by filtering out coarse particles. The pre-cleaned exhaust air then flows through a double-stage electrostatic filter of the AC 8002 series with an effective suction output of approx. 8000 m3/h. During this process, the particles (aerosols) contained in the air are charged, diverted by an electrical field between the collector plates and thus separated out. The voltage applied to the collector and ioniser can be changed enabling adaptation to the specific application (e.g. oil or emulsion etc.). After that, the cleaned air flows though a blower switched in series and is delivered to the atmosphere via a vent stack. During this sequence, a sensor continuously monitors the quality of the exhaust air. The filtrate from the electrostatic filter and the cyclone filter is collected and discharged to the outside where it is collected in bulk containers. The electrostatic air filter and the exhaust air sensor may be controlled and monitored on a text display using the PLC.
The advantage of this system is the high separation degree of the electrostatic filter as well as the use of regenerative filter elements. Thanks to the use of regenerative filter elements, the filters may be cleaned as often as required which eliminates the high disposal and purchase costs for replacement filters.
The scope of delivery of LTA for this project comprised the cleanable large AC 8002 type filters (effective suction output approx. 8,000 m³) including attachment accessories, a high-capacity cyclone filter, an exhaust air filter and the setting and commissioning of the complete system in July 2009.
