London Hong Kong Exchange Plc announces appointment Rudolf Fontijn to the Board of Directors.

London, 11 May 2010, London Hong Kong Exchange Plc (“LHKX”) is pleased to announce that Rudolf Fontijn joins the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Mr Rudolf Fontijn (aged 46) is a member of LHKX’s senior management team with responsibility as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Mr Fontijn has 23 years of combined experience in the marketing, communications and banking sectors. Mr Fontijn has held several senior management roles including : Manager of a PR agency, Managing Director/Owner for a Television Sponsoring Company, founder / Managing Director for an Advertising Agency. Mr Fontijn owns the Prague based advertising agency Linea Recta, which he established in 1991 and specializes in BtL advertising for world leading FMCG companies. Further, he is the founding Partner and CEO for the Prague based consulting firm The Communications Group, a consulting firm that specialises in the banking sector. Since 1998 The Communications Group provides consulting services for multinational, tier 1 banks and financial institutions.

As Executive Director, Mr Fontijn will be involved in guiding LHKX’s strategic development and his wealth of experience across key sectors will prove invaluable to LHKX’s online platform business model.

Commenting on his appointment Mr Fontijn said: "I am delighted to be joining the LHKX Board at this exciting time when LHKX is preparing to launch its trading platform with all the challenges this brings.
