DCG Systems and Checkpoint Technologies Settle Patent Infringement Lawsuit

Checkpoint to Pay Past Damages and Royalties on Future Sales


(firmenpresse) - FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- DCG Systems, Inc. announced today that DCG and Checkpoint Technologies LLC have agreed to settle DCG's allegations of patent infringement that were pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The terms of the settlement include payments of past damages and royalties on future sales under a portfolio license. DCG alleged that Checkpoint's InfraScan products infringe seven patents held by DCG: United States Patent Nos. 7,224,828; 7,227,702; 7,466,852; 7,492,529; 7,639,025; 7,733,100; and 7,990,167. These patents cover multiple aspects of technology owned by DCG, including implementations of Solid Immersion Lenses (SILs) and modulation mapping (LVx).
