(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 11/28/12 -- Cormar Carpets has cemented its position as one of the leading independent carpet manufacturers by continuing its run of industry accolades - winning three this year, including Interior's Monthly 2012 Best Customer Service (flooring) award for the third time.
This follows the two independent retail buying group awards won in quick succession - Flooring One's 'Supplier of the Year' (eighth time), followed by the Metro Group 'Flooring Supplier of the Year' in June, which Cormar has won for 13 consecutive years - an accomplishment no other company has achieved before.
One of the success stories of the British carpet industry, Cormar remains independently owned and has set a formidable industry benchmark for 'getting it right'. With fierce competition from overseas, it has earned a reputation for offering top service, and reliability of delivery.
Says David Cormack, marketing director of : "Service encompasses all aspects of the business and it is one of the areas we have always concentrated hard on. The past few years have been tough for the flooring industry and, as a result, retailers are looking for suppliers that they can rely on. After all, their reputation is on the line every time they place an order.
"Our service starts the minute the yarn is put on the tufting machine at Holme Mill, to when the carpet is delivered by the Cormar driver. And it carries right through to our people in invoicing and after sales."
Over the past five years Cormar has continuously invested in plant, people, machinery and distribution to keep itself competitive, including a new cut length machine that will increase capacity.
Last year the company also invested in new technology and developed a new B2B trade web portal that showcased a range of interactive services including stock check, delivery days, online ordering, price checks, online statements and proof of delivery, order tracking and order history - all through a secure personal log-in.

Cormar continues to produce all its carpet ranges from its two production sites near Bury in Lancashire. It also owns it's fleet of 49 distribution vehicles to ensure a top class delivery service to customers. In addition there is a team of 20 sales representatives throughout Britain and Ireland to service it's customer base.
